The authors describe an atypical clinical presentation of leishmaniasis in a dog with multiple nodular lesions of the tongue. Haematological and biochemical analysis, serological test against Leishmania infantum and biopsies from several nodules of the tongue for histopathological exam were made: a final diagnosis of Leishmaniasis was obtained with the observation of amastigotes in the bioptic samples. The author recommend to consider Leishmaniasis among differential diagnosis of mucosal nodular lesions.
