Heterocerous Macrolepidopterans of Sardinia. II. Quercus ilex phytocoenosis of Mout Corrasi

In the period November 2003-October 2005, a light-trap was positioned in a woody stand of Quercus ilex at 750 m a.s.l. in the Supramonte di Oliena (Oliena, Mount Corrasi, locality Maccione) to collect photosensitive macrolepidopterans: 163 species were recorded. The maximum species richness was recorded in two periods: 1) late spring-early summer; 2) late summer-early autumn. The maximum number of specimens was collected in July 2004 and June 2005. The complete list of captured species is reported, with the relative abundances, and some considerations on the similarity between the lepidopteran fauna captured in four Sardinian biotopes and that of 14 areas of centralnorthern Italy are provided.
