The equine collagenolytic granuloma, classified among the nodular diseasesof this species, is characterized by the predo minant presence of eosinophils.Etiology is not still known. In the present work we report a clinical case aboutan equine that showed multiple nodular formations, located on the left side oftrunk, behind the shoulder blade, beneath the withers and on the most ventralparts of the trunk The clinical examination of the subject and subsequently thebioptic removal of one of the nodules have been carried out in order to performthe histochemical and immunohistochemical evaluation to deeply investi gate themorphological aspect, the cellular types involved, the extension and intensityof the lesion in order to develop a dif ferential diagnosis. The diagnosis was:nodular eosinophilic collagenolytic granuloma. A cortisone therapy, associatedwith the decrease of the inhaled allergens, brought total remission of symptoms. The response to therapy and the evidence of an individual sensibility made toslant towards an allergic etiology.

Abstract
The response to therapy and the evidence of an individual sensibility made toslant towards an allergic etiology.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
