Sequences 74-91 and 77-91 of E.coli thioredoxin were synthesized and their conformational properties in solution were investigated by means of CD spectroscopy. Furthermore, analogs of these seuqnces containing the regular beta turn element Gly-Pro-(Gly)2 were prepared and investigated. while the natutal sequences were found to be unable to fold, the analogues showed evidence of intramolecular folding methanol and trifluorethanol-water solutions.

Abstract
Sequences 74-91 and 77-91 of E.coli thioredoxin were synthesized and their conformational properties in solution were investigated by means of CD spectroscopy. Furthermore, analogs of these seuqnces containing the regular beta turn element Gly-Pro-(Gly)2 were prepared and investigated. while the natutal sequences were found to be unable to fold, the analogues showed evidence of intramolecular folding methanol and trifluorethanol-water solutions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
