The study shows that the type of LTD is widely used both in the activities of non-bank financial intermediation and in various structured finance transactions . The official statistics of the Bank of Italy reveal , in particular, a massive , almost exclusively, use of Ltd. for securitizations. The analysis reveals , therefore, that the characteristics of the structural and functional Ltd. "special" examined are very similar to each other, and that is in place the gradual sedimentation of a archetypal Ltd. used in the market transactions that partially differs from the discipline of the “common” Ltd.
