For this work the faunal remains from sites of Sulcis and Olbia have been considered, using as comparison remains from other sites both nuragic and Punic. Despite the scarcity and discontinuity of the examined areas, the fauna from Sulcis is remarkably rich. The study presents an unusual situations giving new points of interest for the study of the Phoenician and Punic colonies and their influence on the economy of the island. The increasing of interest in the Sulcis sites for deer hunting can be noticed. Red deer were hunted not only for meat, but also for antler production.

Per questo lavoro sono stati presi in considerazione i resti faunistici provenienti da alcuni siti del Sulcis e da Olbia, utilizzando come confronti le faune da altri siti nuragici e punici. Nonostante la scarsità e la discontinuità delle aree esaminate, il materiale dal Sulcis è notevolmente ricco e presenta situazioni insolite che danno nuovi motivi di interesse per lo studio delle colonie fenicie e puniche e della loro influenza sull’economia animale dell’isola. Si può notare il maggiore interesse nel Sulcis per la caccia al cervo finalizzata, oltre alla produzione di carne, anche al reperimento di palchi per la lavorazione.

Abstract
