This article addresses the issue of "neuro-rights" from a legal and philosophical perspective. It examines the evolution of neuro-politics, from Timothy Leary’s pioneering theories to contemporary debates surrounding neuroscience and brain technologies. The author analyzes how the brain, conceived as a plastic and programmable organ, has become a site of power, raising unprecedented questions about individual rights and social control. The paper particularly focuses on the possibility for individuals to hold rights over their own brains, to protect them from external interference, and to safeguard cognitive freedom. Through this inquiry, the article offers a critical reassessment of the relationship between brain, technology, and law, questioning whether existing legal frameworks are capable of addressing the emerging forms of manipulation and neuro-technological governance
