Às origens da ditadura: testemunhos dos documentos sacerdotais sobre alguns aspectos jurídico-religiosos do Dictator

Para enriquecer o quadro jurídico-religioso inerente às características constitucionais originais da ditadura na Roma antiga, a análise dos fragmentos extraídos dos documentos sacerdotais que chegaram através dos testemunhos de autores antigos é de fundamental importância, com particular atenção àqueles provenientes dos libri augurum. Dos testemunhos de Cícero e Tito Lívio, que transcrevem passagens retiradas dos libri augurum que relatam informações de um tempo ancestral da ditadura, fica claro que a nomeação do dictator representava um evento muito importante para os ritmos de vida da antiga cidade, afetando inevitavelmente também os aspectos mais estritamente religiosos da civitas, com um envolvimento ativo dos colégios sacerdotais e, de maneira mais específica, dos áugures.

In order to enrich the juridical-religious framework inherent to the original characteristics of the dictatorship in ancient Rome, the analysis of the fragments taken from the priestly documents arrived through the testimonies of ancient authors is of fundamental importance, with particular attention to those coming from the libri augurum. From the testimonies of Cicero and Livy, who transcribe passages taken from the libri augurum which report the information of an ancestral time of the dictatorship, it appears clear that the nomination of the dictator represented a very important event for the rhythms of life of the ancient city, inevitably affecting also towards the more strictly religious aspects of the civitas, with an active involvement of the priestly colleges, and in a more specific way of that of the augurs.
