This article presents a little-known history of Surrealism, through a few significant letters from Micheline and Vincent Bounoure’s archives, chiefly some of those they sent to Jean-Louis Bédouin at the time of their first steps alongside Benjamin Péret and André Breton; to Jean Schuster and Joyce Mansour on the 1969 crisis; and to the Czech surrealist Vratislav Effenberger about The Prague Platform (1968) and amid the difficulties in Prague in the 70’s, and the financial or emotional ones in the 80’s.
