The paper aims to present an overview of the main attestations of the cult of Isis in Egypt, from the Pharaonic age to the Roman age. For this last phase the Isiac attestations of Sardinia are also presented. It is evident that the Egyptian repertoire compared to the Sardinian one is far superior, if only for the difference in size of the two provinces. However, as we have seen, some ancient coastal towns of Sardinia have preserved prominent evidence in the area of attestations by the Isiac cults in the Roman Empire. In fact, in Sulci, Karales, Tibula and Turris Libisonis the Isiac cults were probably well attested also with temples in each of these places.

Abstract
The paper aims to present an overview of the main attestations of the cult of Isis in Egypt, from the Pharaonic age to the Roman age. For this last phase the Isiac attestations of Sardinia are also presented. It is evident that the Egyptian repertoire compared to the Sardinian one is far superior, if only for the difference in size of the two provinces. However, as we have seen, some ancient coastal towns of Sardinia have preserved prominent evidence in the area of attestations by the Isiac cults in the Roman Empire. In fact, in Sulci, Karales, Tibula and Turris Libisonis the Isiac cults were probably well attested also with temples in each of these places.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
