The digital divide for people with disabilities is a barrier to information acquisition, which is a basic need for self-development, social environment and full participation in society development. Accessibility for all, especially those with disabilities, is central to digital and social inclusion. The paper aims to explore, from a critical perspective, the problem of the web accessibility for people with disabilities, by particular reference of the relevant international and European framework referring to e-accessibility and digital equality.
