The essay, in the first part, deals with the case of centres in demographic decline from the point of view of urban rent. It analyses how urban expansion has produced a negative differential rent that eroded the wealth linked to real estate. Properties have lost market value, but still maintain a value in use. The second part reasons on some urban regeneration policies based on this value. The case study is that of Sardinia.

The essay, in the first part, deals with the case of centres in demographic decline from the point of view of urban rent. It analyses how urban expansion has produced a negative differential rent that eroded the wealth linked to real estate. Properties have lost market value, but still maintain a value in use. The case study is that of Sardinia.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
