The subject of this study relate to the thermal insulation of mutton sheep buildings in cold zones of Sardinia. The Author examined the most important angels of the shelters' environmental control and proposes materials and structural shrewdnesses need to obtain the environmental control to a low cast. These advices are the result of analictical calculations refered to the 3ª Italian climatic zone.
