The study was done to highlight the role that the rehabilitation treatment may have evocation of spinal reflex walking. The sample consists of 13 dogs with spinal injuries resulting in paraplegia, absence of deep pain and neurogenic bladder. Various rehabilitation techniques have been used: passive range of motion, toe pinch exercise, electrical stimulation, standing exercises, underwater treadmill, has been the recovery of ambulatory capacity reflected in a number equal to half the patients. In our research, the subject's age has no influence on therapeutic success, however the location of the spinal lesion is fundamental to good response, because prior to T13 results have been achieved more modest than those with caudal lesions. It 'important that rehabilitation therapy is started as soon as possible after the trauma to avoid defects and to postural stimulation immediately indispensable. The parameters considered were: the first movements in water, the ability to walk alone in the underwater treadmill for the entire therapy session and the recovery of independent walking in the promenade. All patients who walked into the water by themselves have then made a promenade. From the work it is concluded that physiotherapy has a major role both for the functional recovery and for the restoration of social interaction skills of the subject and its relative individual wealth.

Abstract
From the work it is concluded that physiotherapy has a major role both for the functional recovery and for the restoration of social interaction skills of the subject and its relative individual wealth.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
