The technological revolution is transforming the classic paradigms of tourism. If on one hand, thanks to the transition from analogue to digital, cities have become Smart Cities, on the other the destinations have evolved into Smart Destinations, forcing a global revision of the service and supply systems. With the integration of connective technologies, tourist destinations have become the center of advanced technological infrastructures; the transition from a classic to an intelligent tourism standpoint stem imposes new organizational models. The study frames the functional tools for tourist planning conveyed by ICT and proposes a structural reorganization of holiday destinations, in a smart perspective. Finally, the research leads to the elaboration of a model that monitors the performance of digitized tourist destinations, called SMAS. The application of the SMAS enables a quick acquisition of information in the digitization of tourist-oriented territories, giving the opportunity to make dynamic changes in their organizational structure, in symbiosis with the rapid evolutionary process of digital technologies.

Abstract
The application of the SMAS enables a quick acquisition of information in the digitization of tourist-oriented territories, giving the opportunity to make dynamic changes in their organizational structure, in symbiosis with the rapid evolutionary process of digital technologies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
