The relevance of the context (spatial, instrumental and symbolic) in the configuration of the teaching devices has recently returned to the center of reflection about the school and inside the school community. In this perspective, policies of (re-) design of learning environments are taken into consideration, also through a field study of the Iscol@ Program of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, with the aim of identifying the strategies subtended and discuss the characters. In particular, the focus is on the role that the school community plays and is called to play in these processes so that the rethinking of the learning environment is not limited to an exercise but is configured as a transformative action research.
