This article questions the image of art as a sample of a certain rhythmics. The rhythm is that in which the image of art is displayed, therefore that which contributes to its exposition. However, the exposition of the arts could not be understood without a radical conception of exteriority. As a matter of fact, the expositive nature of a work of art is achieved in its exteriority. The phenomenal reality, or the reality that is resistant to the object, is not but this exteriority that is displayed in this certain entre nous. Exteriority as a mode of an entre nous in which it is always a third of the other or the other as a third that enters the scene. The rhythm only makes this scene appear in the possibility of its variations and in the intensity of its contagion in an im-proper spacing of each and everyone.
