The Authors present a case of cistic hamathoma of the pilosebaceous follicle, localized in the ears, in a 38 year-old man. The histopathologic patterns and clinicic features of the tumor are particularly remarked. Among the adenomatous neoplasms of the hair follicle it is collocated between trichofolliculoma and trichoadenoma, considering its level of cell maturation. Spontaneous healing after ten years from the first observation is evidenziated.
