Relazioni intergenerazionali in giovani ed anziani. Educazione ambientale ed informatica in un contesto scolastico-termale.

The research presented here aims to investigate the relation between the old and the young. The main objective of this research is to determine whether the opinion of the young about the figure of the older person changes after the time spent together during environmental exploration and activities on the PC. It also aims to enhance awareness of the elderly about their ability to access the computer tools. The sample sees 16 pairs of participants consisting of an older person, called “grandfather” and a young man called “grandchildren”. The research, in addition to surveys done through questionnaires administered before and after the experience, paid particular attention to the verbal and nonverbal communication between the pairs. The members of each pair have played at being their partner, whether it be the role of teacher to student. In fact, when hiking in natural and archaeological areas the grandfather was able to tell his grandchild using his knowledge and________________________________________________________ during the computer activities the grandchild acted as a teacher to his grandfather. The results seem to confirm the hypothesis that spending time together in various activities changes the relationship between the generations. In the eyes of the young boys, the elder people went from being marginal figures of the family and of society to becoming a rich source of experiential and emotional knowledge. Grandparents appear to be entering the field as educational mediators responsible for grandchildren in environmental dynamics.
