To support EU-LAC cooperation in the fields of Science, Technology, Innovation, Education by developing liaison and networking activities and by providing services to all interested stakeholders. Building on the capacity of a number of EU and LA institutions with a longstanding experience in supporting EU-LAC S.T.I.& D. cooperation at many levels: policy, research, technological transfer, networking, communication, etc.. The Liaison Office may count on a set of unique characteristics: a) Policy support, guaranteed by the presence of the LAC Embassies in Brussels in the Liaison Office Advisory Board; b)Ownership of key information, guaranteed by the merging of a number of results and databases on LAC S.T.I. from past and running projects (LAC-ACCESS, EULARINET, WINDS-LA, WINDS-Caribe, ELAN2LIFE, etc.) and from new upcoming projects; c) Strong project elaboration capacities as well as capability to participate in projects, due to the long experience of the participating Institution and people; d) Management capacity, guaranteed by the presence of expert institutions (all core members); e) Being a non-profit entity with a social mission.
