Abstract
Recently the evolutionary process of the great phenomenon, which characterises Late Neolithic and Eneolithic Sardinia, has been better defined by new discoveries, studies and radiocarbon dating. Undoubtedly, the morpho-technological analysis of the pottery highlights the change from classic Ozieri to its final phase called Sub-Ozieri, underlining the traditional elements and the innovation. By the combination of typological and technological pottery data, it has been recognised changes of techniques, methods and productions not only for pottery but also other handicraft activities and more generally the whole economy of the Early Eneolithic. In details, analysis of the artefacts from structure 134 Badas’ lot of the settlement Su Coddu/Canelles, which have been dated by C14 to a transitional phase, highlights the coexistence of two distinct techniques. Several vessels are hybrids with morphological features of the two phases, while others are classic Sub-Ozieri vessels which continue the tradition of Ozieri in finishing shapes and surfaces, colour rendering and decoration. For instance, polishing and decoration of the bottom transcend from characteristics of ceramics from Badas’ lot analysed so far. Meanwhile, these technological “anomalies” are associated for morphology and technology with similar artefacts from later structures; it is evidence of gradual changes of handicraft pottery.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
