The paper addresses the growth of complexity in our society and aims at exploring ways to improve and make more accessible information in key areas such as social communication, education, scientific dissemination. with particular emphasis on the domain of the current 'extended' information space. In describing a new approach to this problem, we introduce InformAnimation, a rapidly emerging area in which we have started a series of activities, both educational and of research. The idea behind the project is to take advantage of the ability of animation to bridge linguistic, cultural, and age boundaries and to exploit its versatile language for disseminating complex contents in the domain of the current information space.

Abstract
The paper addresses the growth of complexity in our society and aims at exploring ways to improve and make more accessible information in key areas such as social communication, education, scientific dissemination. with particular emphasis on the domain of the current 'extended' information space. In describing a new approach to this problem, we introduce InformAnimation, a rapidly emerging area in which we have started a series of activities, both educational and of research. The idea behind the project is to take advantage of the ability of animation to bridge linguistic, cultural, and age boundaries and to exploit its versatile language for disseminating complex contents in the domain of the current information space.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
