Abstract
Sustainable architecture is an approach to architectural design that minimizes resource consumption, utilizes natural energy, mitigates environmental damages, and improves human health. These requests push the designer capacity to understand and to master techniques and technologies Techniques are the tool to get targets always different, moving and adapting, technology is one of the means to get to the project, and in accordance with this, it has to be rational and contextual to the project. The building designed answers to processes are filters to specify and to decide solutions and for choosing technologies, not necessarily the latest, but appropriate at different scales, designed and oriented to the context. This is achievable by projecting all flows as a way to combine visual aspects with relationships between the building and its context, overcoming the strict application of normative and energetic systems, and giving the possibility to think to the project with a holistic approach, discovering and planning relations between components. All these topics have to be taken into account in the early stages of the design process. The research propose a decision support tools easy to use and that allows the evaluation of design decisions where conflicting objectives must be considered simultaneously, a dynamic tool that works in an interactive way, through processes of aging and comparison of choices. MATLAB routines allow to work on partial optimizations, with opened mechanisms continuously evaluated by the operator. Different mechanisms are provided for improvement, some based on assigning weights, others on climate analysis and on scientific evidence in the field of architectural technology.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
