Valutazione dell'attitudine dei suoli all'utilizzo forestale: un caso di studio nella Sardegna centro orientale

The main aim of this work is the application of a parametric and additive model, that was proposed by Gregori E. and Miclaus N. (1980). To arrange a complete frame of evaluation and to obtain a reliable instrument during the planning of the environment’s usage. The model has been modified and adapted to the forest landscape of a zone in the centre of Sardinia: the F.D. of Crastazza and the forest sites of Coiluna and Loelle. Thanks to the index of potentiality we proceded to the attribution of weights for the single characteristics considered in relation to the degree of influence, from positive to negative, that they have in the landscape’s units, object of evaluation. The geografic distribution of the data with GIS, has allowed to obtain the Plan of land evaluation for the forest usage. The evaluation puts in evidence that in this area it’s prevailing the class S2, suitable for the traditional forestry. For this reason, in the examined land, it could be encouraged spreading of the local species to privilege the recovery of the knowledges and of the local traditions. We were based on the results of the elaboration of the model and on the comparison among the different outlines. In this way, it has been possible to valuate the effect of the reforestation in relation to the procedures of the preparation of the soil. We can say that, the reforestation has shown a good functional valence in relation to the preservation of the soil, compared to the undergrowth.
