Abstract
The integration of immigrants can be also defined as the integration with immigrants focusing on the relationships between the partners, making a gap from the perspective of assimilation as a homologation process. The aim is to resonate on the arising problems related to multiple valence concepts. The integration process viewed as a procedure for reciprocal knowledge and as sharing human values, involves that immigrant and native, could be considered as the autonomous subjects able to reflexibility constructing social ties in free and responsible fashion. In this case a social individual is a subject rather than a social actor. The idealhomo civicusrefers to an equilibrium between the subject and society in which the social ties represent the associating elements. The homo movens considered inside an insular perspective, allowed to resonate on the integration concept differently. Integration constitutes a development process assuming peculiar character depending on social, cultural, political and economical dimensions involving deeper elaboration and not a merely imitation of models deriving from different social contexts.Homo insularisrepresents, together to homo movens or itinerans, the social individual able to get over the limits. Oriented politics could be effective in respect to the integration processes with, and not of, immigrants, thus referring to an integrated society.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
