This research concerns the structural aspects of historical buildings, regarding the knowledge of the structural behavior of historic buildings with conservation aspects in Restoration. It is known that the historic buildings vulnerability is studied mainly in special events, such as earthquakes, there are not investigations "large scale" in areas where the risk is lower or absent. For this reason, Sardinia has been studied as an emblematic area: a vast region but with a very low density of architectural heritage (if we do not consider the archaeological buildings) and with a low seismic risk: it is been examined the churches to homologate the cases-study.The study has analyzed the general themes about relationship between consolidation and restoration in the laws and in cultural documents, regarding structural safety and vulnerability of historical buildings; after that it is made a classification of typologies, basing by their structural behavior and building techniques; finally it is analyzed the cultural consolidation approach made in Sardinia studying how it is acted in the last fifty years of the twentieth century, looking the connection with the national framework. This methodology, verified with the cases examined, is a prerequisite to understand the masonry structures and to find the correct choice for a risk mitigation, who are compatible with the nature of the historical building and their values.

Abstract
This methodology, verified with the cases examined, is a prerequisite to understand the masonry structures and to find the correct choice for a risk mitigation, who are compatible with the nature of the historical building and their values.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
