Neural therapy is a methodical for chronic pain that consists in the injection of local anaesthetics, in particular procain, in the independent ganglia, the peripheral nerves, and in the trigger points. Procaina, initially used as local anaesthetic, has, already from 1920 with Leriche and later with the studies of Huneke(1925), evidenced the property as anaesthetic but, thanks to its catabolitis, benzoic acid and dietilethanole, has other effects on:1) on blood vases: a) symphatic effect b) expansion vase c) waterproofing effect on the capillaries that is not only evidenced in capillary, from which happens diapedesis of redcells, but also in the venous part of the capillary system from which happens the diapedesi of leukocitis.2) on cellular membrane: membrane stabilization, not only of the nervous cell but of all the cells of the organism, therefore also of mastociti (the impediment to the liberation of istamina). In our study, several patients have been treated for cefalea muscle-tensive, syndromes myo-fascial, wich involved cervical skull, headaches without aura, pain of masticatory muscles from TMJ syndrome. These pathologies have been diagnosed in the Cefalee center of Sassari University.Patients have been followed during therapy, through EMG, stabilometry and with a diary of pain. It’s possible to state that patients respond quickly and better tolerate treatment by local infiltration for the least number of side effects, for the rapidity in the response and the lower number of doses.

Abstract
It’s possible to state that patients respond quickly and better tolerate treatment by local infiltration for the least number of side effects, for the rapidity in the response and the lower number of doses.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
