This volume presents the second edition of the Erasmus Informanimation Intensive Programme, that took place in Alghero, Italy, in June 2012. Lead by the Alghero School of Design in collaboration with TEI Athens, UEM Madrid, Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Glamorgan, the project brought together more than forty European students, educators, industry experts and scholars. The first part of the volume contains a series of articles by the IP's teaching staff, developing the themes presented during the course lectures. The volume's second part presents the outcome of the intensive and challenging design workshop, in which six design briefs, provided by a selection of non-profit commissioners and encompassing environmental, social and cultural topics, were developed into eight successful informanimations.
