This paper focuses on possible research paths which can be useful to discover the historical value of the places where vines are present in Sardinia with a view to their possible exploitation as a form of traditional cultivation which carries strong values of identity. The analysis is based on a method that takes into account earlier large scale mapping of the island, the technical and structural characteristics of those documents and the demands of relating the information they contain to current representation used in planning at a regional and local level. With the more general perspective to valorize landscapes and following map making procedures, the idea is to encourage the conservation of traditional aspects of the landscapes in exceptionally suitable and fertile territories. It is no coincidence that we have chosen a location in Sardinia with a historical reputation for its production of wine: Dorgali, situated in the centre of the eastern coast of Sardinia.

Abstract
It is no coincidence that we have chosen a location in Sardinia with a historical reputation for its production of wine: Dorgali, situated in the centre of the eastern coast of Sardinia.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
