Obrt za izradu srebra č inio je srž Wualai zajednice grada Chiang Mai u Tajlandu tijekom više od 200 godina. Od Lanna razdoblja, Wualai je prepoznat kao mjesto talentiranih obrtnika izrade srebra. Cilj istraživanja je identifi cirati ključ ne č imbenike provedbe razvojnog modela Wualai zajednice istraživanjem utjecaja mreže zajednice, jač anja svijesti eko-turizma, sudjelovanjem lokalnog stanovništva, politikom lokalne samouprave, itd. Uspostavit ć e se model razvoja zajednice, koji predstavlja glavno kulturno naslijeđe lokalne zajednice – hram Wat-Srisuphan kao novi društveni centar za oč uvanje i promicanje naslijeđa i obrta zajednice.

Silversmith and silver crafting has been the main lifeline of Wualai community for more than 200 years, Since Lanna period, Wualai has been recognized as the village of talented silversmiths. This research would try to identify the key factors behind the accomplishment of Wualai community development model, whether it is the community social network, sustainable business model, community plan development, eco-tourism awareness, local people participation, local government policy, etc. Subsequently the researcher will propose the community development model that has the temple, which is, not only has the value as a main cultural heritage of the local community but likewise reignites as a new community center for the conservation and instigation of community essential heritage and craftsmanship.

Abstract

Silversmith and silver crafting has been the main lifeline of Wualai community for more than 200 years, Since Lanna period, Wualai has been recognized as the village of talented silversmiths. This research would try to identify the key factors behind the accomplishment of Wualai community development model, whether it is the community social network, sustainable business model, community plan development, eco-tourism awareness, local people participation, local government policy, etc. Subsequently the researcher will propose the community development model that has the temple, which is, not only has the value as a main cultural heritage of the local community but likewise reignites as a new community center for the conservation and instigation of community essential heritage and craftsmanship.
