The application and the development of marine biotic index AMBI was performed. The comparison between AMBI results and the ecological index calculated (Margalef index, Shannon-Wiener index, Simpson index and Pielou index) showed that the influence of the mariculture activities is localized and that the health status of the benthic community is not compromised.
