Young specimens of Ostrea edulis were grown in pôches, baskets and stackable trays placed at 2 different depths (-1 and -5 m) in a northern Sardinian lagoon from June to October 2011. Survival rate and growth performances of the mollusks were recorded monthly. At the end of the experiment, oysters’ survival rate was almost the same, whereas significant differences were found for length, width and total weight of the oysters cultured at different depths.
