The paper presents the results of a new analysis on the nuragic boat models, a class of bronze artifacts made by the Sardinian craftsmen during the early Iron Age, and which represent a repertoire of particular importance within the rich nuragic metallurgical production. The study of these artifacts, already developed by an archaeological point of view, now uses the additional contribution of experimental archaeology and archaeometrical analysis. We have therefore, data relating to a typological and chronological framework, to manufacturing techniques, and also analytical data obtained by XRF measurements associated with Monte Carlo simulation used to improve the estimate of the sample composition.

Abstract
The paper presents the results of a new analysis on the nuragic boat models, a class of bronze artifacts made by the Sardinian craftsmen during the early Iron Age, and which represent a repertoire of particular importance within the rich nuragic metallurgical production. The study of these artifacts, already developed by an archaeological point of view, now uses the additional contribution of experimental archaeology and archaeometrical analysis. We have therefore, data relating to a typological and chronological framework, to manufacturing techniques, and also analytical data obtained by XRF measurements associated with Monte Carlo simulation used to improve the estimate of the sample composition.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
