The conclusion of the excavations in the western sector of the early-phase basilica has clarified that this area was entirely transformed during the second phase, being repurposed as a narthex for the later small basilica. It has also been confirmed that the floor of the hall of the large early-phase basilica consists of two superimposed levels. Finally, a portion of the ancient walking surface outside the church, to the east of the apse, was uncovered to investigate the possible presence of burials associated with the extra muros basilica. However, no evidence of tombs was found.

Abstract
The conclusion of the excavations in the western sector of the early-phase basilica has clarified that this area was entirely transformed during the second phase, being repurposed as a narthex for the later small basilica. It has also been confirmed that the floor of the hall of the large early-phase basilica consists of two superimposed levels. Finally, a portion of the ancient walking surface outside the church, to the east of the apse, was uncovered to investigate the possible presence of burials associated with the extra muros basilica. However, no evidence of tombs was found.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
