In the overview of the forms of reoccupation of the villas in late Antique Sardinia some important factors stand out for the territory systems developing between 5th and 7th century AD: the settlement continuity in mainly coastal areas included in the sphere of urban centres, the closeness to the important roads, the exploitation of fertile soils and marine sources. Important examples of the changes of the villas are represented by contexts located in the north-western and northern coast of the isle: S. Imbenia (Alghero-SS), Fiume Santo (Porto Torres-SS) and S. Filitica (Sorso-SS); they allow to draw a consistent framework of the vitality of the territory and the exchanges in the Late Antiquity: both with the reuse of spaces, modified by the building and functional point of view, and by the formation of settlements strictly connected to the centre of Turris Libisonis.

Abstract
In the overview of the forms of reoccupation of the villas in late Antique Sardinia some important factors stand out for the territory systems developing between 5th and 7th century AD: the settlement continuity in mainly coastal areas included in the sphere of urban centres, the closeness to the important roads, the exploitation of fertile soils and marine sources. Important examples of the changes of the villas are represented by contexts located in the north-western and northern coast of the isle: S. Imbenia (Alghero-SS), Fiume Santo (Porto Torres-SS) and S. Filitica (Sorso-SS); they allow to draw a consistent framework of the vitality of the territory and the exchanges in the Late Antiquity: both with the reuse of spaces, modified by the building and functional point of view, and by the formation of settlements strictly connected to the centre of Turris Libisonis.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
