Abstract
If on the one hand the memory of the Arnensis tribe allows us to reconstruct at least in part the socio-economic relations that the inhabitants of Carthage had in Africa and in particular in the Proconsular province, on the other hand the inscriptions show that the tribe was not the exclusive prerogative of the Carthaginians, who exhibited it only in particular circumstances and not always easy to understand. Instead, it is the ethnic and the mention of the honores carried out in the provincial capital that provides the measure of the indisputable prestige still enjoyed by the town in the Late Antiquity and not only in the Maghreb.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
