Till the industrial revolution it has been possible to read the world only through the five senses, after this is begun a process that the truth has made to become artificial, that has replaced completely the works of the nature with the constructions of the human intelligence. This fact had a strong resonance in the architectonic project on the last years: the use of the computer become fundamental for the architects, for the many possibilities gived, the diffusion and the optimization on the control of the procedural aspects of the construction. The more important data of culture and the architectonic profession system is the massive use of the computer in the project heuristic phase, in a sector where till little more than ten years ago the computer was used like support to the drawing up and the verification of the design project, like a table from electronic-computer science design. Some famous contemporary architects propose researches and project studies of forms elaborated by the computer. The architects realized fantastic images in this way, than only in the past few years they seem not to become realizable, in this way they create a possible relationship with the production methods. Through the analysis of some projects of contemporary architecture it is possible to observe the collaboration between various technologies and scientific withies. Like in the projects of Gehry where the use of the software in the heuristic-phase has needed, and will more and more often need, the collaboration of competences and programs of mechanical, electronic and aeronautical industry. Gehry, in fact, has inserted in its staff aerospace engineers whose competences have been revealed strategic in the study of the envelopes of the many project phases. Not only, also the software and the project-modalities changed. Like, as an example, beginning the design from the last layer of the building envelope. From the form and the building image, backwards he arrived to the structure project. This has turned upside down the project conceptions that up to now have characterized the architecture, but before all engineering. It seems that the building procedures are still traditional, in spite the high speed of the digital design and the 3D Modelling evolution. It is possible to find a great and progressive integration between scientific and professional competences. After these considerations, which innovation is possible effectively to identify in the realization of the contemporary architecture? A research lead at the University IUAV of Venice has sketched some hypotheses.
