Photovoltaic (PV) greenhouses have become more popular, especially in the countries of Southern Europe, thanks to specific remuneration policies. Farmers are increasingly interested in alternative crops that find market spaces such as products of niche or linked to local traditions. In view of the above, cultivation of wild asparagus (Asparagus acutifolius L.) in a PV greenhouse could prove to be promising, not only from an agronomic point of view, due to the species' sciaphilous characteristics, but also in consideration of the fact that the market is currently characterized by an unstable offer, powered exclusively by free collection of spears produced by natural populations.

Abstract
