This anthology is a selection of essays written by diverse academicians from a wide range of disciplines, who address three imminent challenges to human society in the age of Anthropocene—that is, the epoch of our planet’s history in which human behavior has reshaped the world in which we evolve and live. The first challenge involves the survival of the species; the second the breakdown of social justice; and the third the inability of the media—which we see as the extensions of humanity’s collective intelligence—to provide global audiences with an adequate orientation about these issues.

Abstract
This anthology is a selection of essays written by diverse academicians from a wide range of disciplines, who address three imminent challenges to human society in the age of Anthropocene—that is, the epoch of our planet’s history in which human behavior has reshaped the world in which we evolve and live. The first challenge involves the survival of the species; the second the breakdown of social justice; and the third the inability of the media—which we see as the extensions of humanity’s collective intelligence—to provide global audiences with an adequate orientation about these issues.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
