The paper re-reads some reflections on Giuseppe Samonà’s teaching and design in housing field. His research is based on architectural and urban space vision – house as organism – in which man’s social life takes place. It is examined through some texts by Samonà about the relationship between housing-neighborhood-city by relating to the design proposal for the Venetian residential expansion with post-war San Giuliano INA-Casa plan, born as a learning experience.
