SEASONAL VARIATIONS IN RESISTIVE INDEX (RI) OF TESTICULAR ARTERY, TESTOSTERONE LEVELS AND VOLUME MEASUREMENTS IN SARDA BUCK

In this work we registered variations in volume. and testosterone production in the testicles of three Sarda bucks (M2, M3, M4) and. characterized the blood flow in the testicular artery by Color Doppler Ultrasonography.. After a 12 months study we defined the reproductive season in Sarda buck and observed. that periods of small testicular volumes and low testosterone production (M2=43.41 ml. and 21.4 ng/dl, respectively; M3=48.43 ml and 14.89 ng/dl, respectively; M4=32.4 dl. and 75.57 ng/dl, respectively) are related with reduced blood supply, with high. resistance to the flow (M2=0.8 right, 0.79 left; M3=0.88 right, 0.87 left; M4=0.89 right,. 0.9 left) towards the involved parenchyma."
