DesertWatch is an ESA project aiming at developing a user-oriented Information System based on EO technology to support national and local authorities in responding to the reporting obligations of the UNCCD and in monitoring land degradation trends over time. A specific objective of the DesertWatch Exetention project is to develop an operational information system based on EO technology and able to support national and regional authorities of all UNCCD Parties, both in reporting commonly to the Convention and in assessing and monitoring land degradation and its trends over time. Another specific objective of the project is to develop an integrated methodology, which may be commonly accepted, even if with minor adjustments, by all UNCCD parties.

Abstract
DesertWatch is an ESA project aiming at developing a user-oriented Information System based on EO technology to support national and local authorities in responding to the reporting obligations of the UNCCD and in monitoring land degradation trends over time. A specific objective of the DesertWatch Exetention project is to develop an operational information system based on EO technology and able to support national and regional authorities of all UNCCD Parties, both in reporting commonly to the Convention and in assessing and monitoring land degradation and its trends over time. Another specific objective of the project is to develop an integrated methodology, which may be commonly accepted, even if with minor adjustments, by all UNCCD parties.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
