In the experimental alimentary ovine alkalosis, at the end of treatment, the protein elevtrophoresis shows decreasing albumins and increasing alphaglobulins and gammaglobulins.In the serum and in the blood the alkali reserve and the pH were increasing dangerously. Stopping the oxalic poisoning and a giving an acid-forming diet the blood protein picture came back to normal level and in the blood the alkalosis disappeared.
