Abstract - A critical analysis of the available cartographical material and of new data emerged from the “4 M.P.A.” project of the Italian Ministry of the Environment and CoNISMa has been made. The cartography included geomorphological maps, S.S.S. 100 MHz tracing, as well as high resolution ortoplan aerial photos. The limits of biocoenoses were reported, they were verified by means of 13 underwater transects and a lot of video and photo surveys. A list of habitat was also compiled referring to SPA/RAC protocol. The presence of biocoenoses of significant environmental value, such as Coralligenous in ‘enclave’ associations with Lithophyllumand with Cystoseirawere underlined, as well as rare or endangered species.
