Per una rilettura di "Le baracche"

Starting from the existential and civic engagement path of Fortunato Seminara, it reaches a focus of his poetic narrative and its cultural background. It is then outlined the textual history of Le Baracche, came later to the publication (1942), given the stinging content of his realism; and discusses some of the four narrative blocks, putting the work in relation with the moral effects of the earthquake of 1908 and the death drive that it microcosm villager has introjected.

Partendo dal percorso esistenziale e dell’impegno civile di Fortunato Seminara, si perviene ad una messa a fuoco della sua poetica narrativa e del suo background culturale. Viene poi delineata la storia testuale di Le Baracche, giunta tardi alla pubblicazione (1942), dati i contenuti urticanti del suo realismo; e se ne analizzano i quattro blocchi narrativi, mettendo l’opera in rapporto con gli effetti morali del terremoto del 1908 e con la pulsione di morte che da esso il microcosmo paesano ha introiettato.
